It’ s been awhile!

While stylized shoots aren’t for every photographer, and certainly don’t take the place of true and raw sessions, or elopements. but truly, They sure are fun. I recently went to a shoot stylized by @Marissaraephotography, you can find her work here. She’s not only an incredible artist and photographer, but a genuinely kind person. Someone you just naturally gravitate to, she is truly awesome..

anyhow, she set up this beautiful day in Indiana. being located in lower west Michigan it was a fun little trip for me. I got poured on in Michigan, but Indiana was beautiful sunny skies. we had 3 set ups, 3 sets of models and everything looked top tier. she poured her heart and soul into this, and it showed.

while every set up, and every model was beyond exceptional. there was one set up that will forever live rent free in my mind. it was something different, something beautiful, colorful, fun and so beautiful. it just screamed out for couples who want something that is maybe untraditional, something that speaks to their soul. something that feels more like them than all of the typical visuals you imagine when you think “wedding” (or elopement… or microwedding). watching the trends, the uncommon seems to be getting a lot of traction, and for this I couldn’t be more excited.

So, if you as a couple feel like “weirdos”, first of all I love you - you’re my people. but if you feel like visually different aesthetics is your aesthetic. I would love to work with you. if colorful attire, unique and badass floral arrangements, super rad cakes, and a bitching time is your vibe. we’d probably get along famously. thank you to Marissa for putting on an awesome day. below the pictures, i’ve listed all the vendors instagrams who participated in this incredible event. they’re all wildly talented and i’m thankful to have had the privilege of working with their work and would recommend any of them to anybody.
